My major

 I am a business major and came to the US six months ago to study it. However, since I have only taken general study classes and not courses in my major, I am unable to present my work related to my selection.　Therefore, I would like to explain why I decided to study abroad and why I majored in business. It was my father who inspired me to major in business. My father works for an IT company. He was a programmer when he was younger. But one thing led to another, and he became a salesman, figuring out how to utilize the products and sell them. His company was a US based company. So, he used to be a programmer and could just make products, but now he has to have a lot of meetings with foreign colleagues and customers. He said that was very difficult for him because he had not studied English that much before. He also told me that in the future I would have to be able to speak English because of the internationalization of the industry. These words made me decide to study in the United States. I am currently majoring in business. My father is also a big part of that. As I mentioned earlier, he sells IT products. He told me that this job is very exciting and fun because you get to interact with people from different countries. To be honest, I have not yet found what I want to do in the future. Therefore, I am majoring in business because I want to follow my father's footsteps for a while until I can decide for myself what I want to do in the future.
